Re: Character Sheets Online
Thank you for clarifying! That is pretty much what I was picturing an hoping for. Also, this is super exciting: * Currently we do allow people to do downtimes with either of thier characters on any given week, with Staff approval. You can play one and do DT's with the other. It doesn't happen often,...

Re: Character Sheets Online
I will be a voice of very mild and largely un-poll-related dissent here: I have no problem whatsoever with the idea of people being able to do XP spends on characters not currently in play. I'm not sure what the advantage to that would be over just spending a bunch of XP the night you bring the char...

Re: XP Expenditure
May I suggest that if we continue to do XP spends primarily in person, we have a hard cutoff*? People who need stuff urgently should be able to show up a little early or submit expenditures online, or at worst, let Staff know in advance if there's going to be some unusual can't-show-up-before-8pm-ha...

Re: Am I just really bad at captchas?
I also have this same problem, and am pretty much resigned to only ever logging in to the Katya account and using account switching to access anyone else (I know it says I can contact the admin, but Brian, I don't want to bug you every time I have captcha issues--at least, not until I'm locked out e...

Re: Toreador Grand Ball -- location?
I'm actually keeping my fingers crossed for October, me. I know it's very soon, but I'm hoping to be able to attend.
*hope hope hope*
Staff, I've already mentioned this to Ted, but if the event is post-October, I'm interested in helping with anything I can from home for prep/organization/et cetera!

Re: Toreador Grand Ball -- location?
This would be for September 2nd? Or would we push it back a bit to allow more normal games between one-shot nights? (I'm happy to pitch in for a fancy alternate locale either way, and will help out with decor and prep if I can, but once we get into October/November territory, I might not be able to ...

Re: mobile version
When did we get a mobile site? I tend not to check the forums from my phone because I found it a hassle--I wasn't aware that this feature had been added. I'd be interested in trying it, but I admit that the inability to switch back if I dislike the format sounds off-putting--not too off-putting, tho...

Re: Shark Finning Ban in CA
I'd like to clarify a few points: first, the proposal is not for a ban on shark finning. Rather, an attempt is being made to ban the sale and possession of shark fins, including shark's fin soup. It's also inaccurate to say that this is something that isn't being regulated or watched. Federal law pr...

Re: WOOO! NEW SYSTEM!
Just to note: when I attempt to "view active topics" now, it only shows active topics from Staff Announcements and Public Announcements. Having to click through ever forum to see what's new makes me sad :( Is that working better? :) It's definitely better, but still not quite working! Lits now appe...

I'm also happy to help folks set up clients if they have continuing problems. For the Mac, I strongly recommend Adium.
