Re: On NEEPs

One side note: There is a major (inherent) system imbalance for how many XP it takes to be power-competitive in each clan. (Leaving the RP aside for a moment). I think this will influence how a players perceives the system. Each clan has a variety of "required" stats and the disciplines go from "all...

Re: On NEEPs

Just curious: How do unspent NEEPs act if a player retires a character / that character dies - in regards to the new character? Do they turn into normal XP for a new character, are they gone as soon as they hit the NEEP box, or do they only vanish when/if staff spends them? This alone could impact t...

Re: Character Sheets Online

What we're thinking about is this: - Have a sheet of paper where we give everyone XP at game for showing up at check-in. - At gamedown, using that same sheet to record XP awards. - Copy that sheet on to the forums afterward to update XP totals. - People spend XP by sending in a PM to Staff. (Some p...

Re: XP Expenditure

I echo Lindsay on this one. What she said. Also: I *love* the idea of online XP, as I can think about my plan and look at my notes while buying stuff without an implied time pressure of the line behind me. With the % of time used doing this compared to game length each week, this seems nice. I would...

Re: Thoughts on a new system.

I like this plan. It is fair, respectful, and seems the most logical way to solve any underlying systemic problems. I would also like to directly acknowledge the massive amount of work that the current system, the changeover, and the learning curve to a new system pile onto the staff of this game. T...

Re: Ralph's thoughts on rules

Ginger, in my experience, that was the most comprehensively correct summation of the current rules that I could have possibly written. Thank you. If players that have been around for a ludicrous time in this game universe make mistakes generating new characters, (*puts a hand up* "Yo.") how can a ne...

Re: Ralph's thoughts on rules

I've built, used, worked with, tweaked, and done endless games with a variety of LARP rules. My favorite are usually the ones that are fair, but don't impede the flow of the game. MET was built as a system for short term games, not these decade long monsters. Tabletop was built for dice. I look forw...
