Re: On NEEPs

That would be functionally equivalent, since at that point half of your XP are NEEPs.

Re: On NEEPs

Personally, I like NEEPs and I like spending NEEPs for people. Usually, if someone spends a lot of stuff on fleshing out, I'll put it into standard adventuring things to prevent the kind of penalty Ari mentions. If someone neglects Drive and so on, I'll do those. I'll also often put it into Specialt...

Re: XP Expenditure

We do allow XP spends online right now.

We announced this at a listenup a few months ago, but somehow never posted it. I'll fix that soon.

To spend XP online, send a PM to Staff.

(You don't need to use the online character sheet for this.)

XP Expenditure

There wasn't room for this in the other poll, and I wanted to put up a poll for this.

How do you want XP spends to be implemented?

(No promise that we'll implement the winner of this, but the input is valuable.)

Re: Character Sheets Online

If staff wants a copy of my sheet online for downtime purposes, that's fine, but when I am at game I want a hard copy in my hand. I agree with you completely. I don't think anyone is talking about getting rid of paper sheets. As far as eeps go, I think they should definitely be done in person whene...

Re: Character Sheets Online

So, please, correct me if I'm reading this wrong. But I got an implication that comes off that it seems like you're considering just dropping the paper sheets. Oh! No, I agree, getting rid of paper sheets would be a terrible idea. I'm talking about having the character sheets online, and having tha...

Re: Private Forum For Each Player?

Please note: I didn't include a polling option for "I already have a private forum, but I don't want anyone else to have one."

If you feel this way, please leave a very convincing comment instead, explaining why you think this would be a good idea. :)

Character Sheets Online

Among Staff, we're talking about moving the characters online. If each player has a private forum , this could also be a spot where character sheets are kept. We're talking about maybe moving the sheets online, and having the sheets in your private forum be the authoritative version. As I see it, th...

Private Forum For Each Player?

So, we have a few players right now who have personal forums on the BAM boards - a private spot they can use for notes, plans, etc. Staff can still see it, but otherwise it's private to each player. This space could also be used for private communications with Staff, possibly light RP scenes (still ...

Re: Am I just really bad at captchas?

I have the same problem, often. The CAPTCHA is really touchy and difficult, and it usually takes me a dozen tries to make a new NPC.

Whatever you do, don't read that -1 message! You might destroy the universe! Or become replaced by your negative twin! Or... or... I dunno.

Something I just noticed about the MET rules that makes me laugh:

There is, as part of the Status system, rules for the status trait Cherry.

Re: Ralph's thoughts on rules

I, for one, welcome our new MET masters. Everything I've seen with the new rules looks pretty darn good. Once it's out out, I'll be working to see what I can find that will make our stuff turn into it well. Conversions take work to do right. You risk people losing what they've worked on, you risk pe...

Re: Blood, Willpower, Herd, and mechanics. (But mostly blood

Great topic and discussion. Ralph, I think you nailed in on the head about people having an aversion to hunting because they're worried they'll get screwed over. I've run hunting scenes in BAM once or twice, mostly with new players. People often find it difficult, because they're not sure *how* to g...

Re: Ignoring Alts in Uptime.

Personally, I'm a big fan of "make your best effort" and "try to give each other leeway" when it comes to honestly-intended IC/OOC confusions. Weighing in on individual topics: - Try to have some reason why your shelved alt isn't present, even if they would want to be. This could be leaving town, hu...
