Looking for character tie-ins for new Toreador character.

Post by Hamish MacNeil »

“Luckless” Luther Deveraux
Toreador - Guild of Plutus (patron's guild)
Embraced in the 1870s or 1880s
Southern gentleman and card-sharp.

Mississippi Riverboat gambler originally.
Spent time in various places throughout the old west, drifting and gambling.
Was in chicago during prohibition, running an illegal casino and speakeasy.
Moved to Las Vegas briefly in the 1940s, and then to Reno, where he has been till the present.
That which does not kill you... Has made a serious tactical error.

Hit me up offline, Mike. I'm always up for some character connection.

Alright, here's a little more definitive list of where Luther was, and when (of course, all dates are approximate):

Embraced in Mississippi in 1880
Released in Chicago in 1890
Wandered all over the damn place till about 1910 when he returned to Chicago.
1910 to 1940 - Ran an underground gambling den in Chicago called "The Magnolia Room" which of course became a speakeasy when prohibition was passed.
1940 - Luther moved to Las Vegas and opened a casino in Las Vegas called "The Dixie Grand Casino/Resort"
1965 - Moved to Reno and ran a number of casinos there.
1989 - Was involved in the creation of the event "Hot August Nights", and opened "The Riverboat Hotel/Casino".
Present - In the process of moving to the South Bay.
That which does not kill you... Has made a serious tactical error.
