It shows a page full of text instead

Re: Chat room
Yeah, it's not just you. If you have (or want to download) an IRC client like mIRC, Trillian, or something else, we can help you set it up instead. It's actually pretty easy to do, and I think there's already a guide for it on the forums somewhere.
The waiting drove me mad... you're finally here and I'm a mess
I take your entrance back... can't let you roam inside my head
I don't want to take what you can give
I would rather starve than eat your bread
I would rather run but I can't walk
Guess I'll lie alone just like before

Re: Chat room
So, for clarity on what's going on...
If you haven't been seeing the tech news recently, there's a new exploit making the rounds that has been nicknamed "Shell Shock" - it's pretty nasty, as it could allow an attacker to remotely execute commands on a server via the Apache web server and mod_cgi. The other day I had attempted to disable mod_cgi, thinking that mod_perl (a different command interpreter) would take over for my perl scripts, and that the php scripts would remain unaffected. Apparently this was incorrect. For now I've re-enabled mod_cgi and it'll stay on until I can figure out how to disable mod_cgi while retaining mod_perl's functionality.
The gist: Some asshole broke the internet, and while attempting to protect the server I broke the web chat. Sorry about that!
