Lit Challenges

Post by Lindsay »

Every two weeks or so, a topic or specific writing challenge will be posted to inspire players to write literaries for their character.

A lit inspired by a lit challenge will gain you 1 xp on your character sheet. If you write a lit for a shelved character, the xp will be added to the sheet of the character you wrote the lit for, rather than your active character.

You may write as many lits as you like for each challenge, but only 1xp will be granted per person per challenge. This means that if you write two lits for a single challenge for two different characters, only one character may earn the xp.

While new lit topics will be posted often, old lit topics do not "expire" - you may write a lit inspired by any of the past topics at any time, that is why there is a thread dedicated to past lit topics. Still, do keep in mind, if you start a new character and go back to write on all the past topics, only ones you as a player have not written on before can earn your new character any xp.

As we get more and more lit topics available for writing, it has become clear that a balance needs to be put in place for the number of xp you can earn at one time from lits. So....

No more than 5 xp may be earned from lit challenges in a single week.
No more than 8 xp may be earned from lit challenges in a single month.

Seeing the following graphic as a response to your lit means that it has been processed for xp on your character sheet:
